XTB, a global fintech company known for providing instant access to financial markets for individual investors, has taken a significant step in integrating investment and payment solutions.

The company recently introduced a new mobile wallet alongside a multi-currency card, enabling users to manage their investments and payments seamlessly through the XTB app.

This latest move supports XTB's positioning as "Where your money works," reflecting their commitment to providing effective financial management tools globally. Investors now have access to active and passive investment opportunities on global markets, ETF-based investment plans, and even earn interest on uninvested funds.

With the introduction of the mobile wallet and multi-currency card, XTB aims to bolster its strategy of becoming Europe's premier investment super-app.

The new products were initially rolled out in Portugal and the Czech Republic earlier this year, with plans to gradually expand to other European markets in the coming weeks.

Omar Arnaout, CEO of XTB, commented on the launch:

"XTB's mobile wallet provides investors with instant access to their funds and makes managing daily finances effortlessly. Putting one's money to work has been made significantly easier, as now both investing and payments can be done instantly in one app.” He further added, “We have delivered this year's product pipeline and are making good progress towards becoming Europe's number one investment super-app. Our broad product offering supported by the partnership with our new brand ambassador Zlatan Ibrahimovic will surely elevate our brand to a completely another level.”

The multi-currency virtual debit card, issued under a Mastercard license by DiPocket UAB (an e-money institution registered by the Bank of Lithuania), supports a variety of financial transactions, including cashless payments in stores, mobile transactions, and contactless cash withdrawals from ATMs worldwide. Users can also integrate the card with Apple Pay and Google Pay, with a physical card option set to be available in the future.

Currently, the multi-currency card allows transactions in seven currencies: EUR, USD, GBP, PLN, RON, CZK, and HUF, with plans to add more currencies as the product evolves. Wallet maintenance and instant transfers between all XTB accounts are free, allowing investors flexibility in exchanging currencies when needed. Transactions in currencies not supported by the wallet are handled according to Mastercard exchange rates.

Security remains a top priority for XTB, as the virtual card comes equipped with built-in features like two-factor authentication (2FA), adjustable card limits that can be modified instantly, and the ability to freeze the card temporarily. Users can manage up to five cards per month, and real-time notifications ensure they always have control over their finances.

The new product launch is a part of XTB's broader push to diversify and enhance its offerings, cementing its role as a leading investment and financial management platform.
