The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and the Swiss Financial Market Infrastructure Group (SIX) have entered into an agreement to enhance cooperation between their respective exchanges.
According to a statement released at the Dubai Capital Market Summit, the collaboration will concentrate on creating opportunities for dual listings, establishing links between central securities depositories (CSDs), and improving investor accessibility. The agreement involves active participation from the Dubai Central Securities Depository LLC (Dubai CSD) and Dubai Clear LLC.
“The agreement aims to streamline the process for investors to transfer shares between exchanges, facilitating cross-listings and enhancing share fungibility. It also involves the exchange of best practices and market data,” the statement said, emphasizing the goal of expanding market access and investment opportunities in both regions.
SIX and Dubai CSD will collaborate on establishing links between Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) to simplify share fungibility and cross-border transfers, the statement added.
Furthermore, the exchanges will work together to identify opportunities in market data and post-trade services, with the aim of driving innovation and promoting market development.
