LMAX Group, a renowned operator of institutional exchanges for FX and digital assets trading, has appointed Chris Knight, a seasoned financial markets professional with 30 years of experience in capital markets and FX, as its Managing Director.
Chris brings an extensive global network of institutional clients and industry relationships to the new role. Most recently, he served as Director and President of ACI Australia Ltd, an affiliate of ACI – The Financial Markets Association. He also served as a member of the Australian Foreign Exchange Committee (AFXC), a representative forum of the Australian foreign exchange market.
At XTX Markets, the electronic market maker where he dedicated over eight years, Chris served as APAC Head of Distribution and Liquidity Optimisation. Before that, he spent more than eleven years at Standard Chartered Bank, where he was responsible for its e-commerce strategy across FX, Rates, and Credit, focusing on e-FX trading applications.
Chris will assume the new position in summer and relocate from Sydney to London. Initially, he will focus on overseeing the operations and future growth strategy of the LMAX Digital business, the institutional cryptocurrency exchange operated by LMAX Group. Jenna Wright, Managing Director of the group, is on maternity leave.
