Saxo Bank, the Copenhagen-based online trading and investment specialist, has named Casper Solbakken as the company’s Global Head of Commercial Offering & Experience.
In his new role, Solbakken will oversee the production, pricing, and platform management, ensuring that investors and traders using Saxo Platforms enjoy a first-class investing and trading experience.
Solbakken has been with Saxo Bank for over 18 years, holding various positions. He began his career at the firm in March 2006 as a Student Assistant in Equities/Derivatives.
In July 2019, he advanced to the role of Head of Equities after serving as a Quantitative Trader for more than 11 years and spending ten months as a Product Specialist for Equities.
From October 2021 to June 2023, he held the title of Global Head of Products and Services. Since July 2023, he has served as the Global Head of Products, Pricing, and Platforms.
Recently, Saxo Bank underwent a restructuring process, merging its Global Sales and Saxo Experience Office (SXO) into a new entity named Group Commercial.
As part of this transformation, Stig Christensen, the bank’s Chief Sales Officer, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer to lead the newly merged unit.
